History

West End Alliance Church has been serving the community since 1921. It began with thirteen families meeting together in Rex Theater at Seventh and Broad Street for Sunday morning and evening services. Many people in the community heard the Gospel and gave their hearts to Christ. In 1922 the church was formally organized and moved to Madison Street. Communion Sundays were specifically set aside for fasting and prayer. As a result of this, many people came to know Christ personally. In 1928 the church purchased a building and moved to Stuart Avenue. In 1974 the church purchased land and built our current building. The first service was held in March 1975.
