What's a Life Group?

The Christian life is meant to be a shared life. We are called to encourage one another to love and good deeds (Hebrews 10:24-25), to carry one another’s burdens (Galatians 6:2-5) and to exercise our spiritual gifts for the building up of the body of Christ, the Church. A smaller group context than our Sunday gatherings are essential for our members in living out the "one anothers" of Scripture.

We’re calling these groups "Life Groups". They will meet anywhere from two to four times a month to talk about the challenges of our daily lives and to seek to find, through prayer and Bible study, how God is working in us and through us. Our primary focus in this setting is to help one another apply what we are learning and grow together in our relationship with God.

This involves not only prayer, counsel and encouragement, but also helping one another with practical needs, standing with each other through the trials of life. The goal of these groups is for members to become knit into one another’s lives resulting in fun, informal get-togethers and the formation of long-term friendships.

• Sundays at 9:15 am at the church - Life Group - "Through the Bible in a Year"
  Each sunday, the week's reading will be reviewed and discussed. Additional supplementary material will be distributed. This is a great way to get a good overall perspective of the Scriptures.
• Sundays at 9:15 am at the church - Life Group - "Romans, Verse by Verse"
  This group is currently considering Paul's letter to the Romans verse by verse. If you want an in depth study of the Scriptures, this is the Life Group for you!
• 2nd and 4th Fridays at 7:00 pm - Life Group at the McRae Home. - This group will be focusing the discussion around the previous Sunday sermons, expecting twists and turns along the way.
